A NATIONAL two-day strike will see a number of Warrington schools, community centres and libraries being forced to close.
Action by Unison and Unite today (Wednesday) and tomorrow has caused disruption to council services, with the council making every effort to minimise the impact of the strike.
Community centres closed for both days are Bewsey Gym, Burtonwood, Capesthorn, Culcheth Age Concern, Greenwood, Sandy Lane and Whitecross.
Libraries affect are Birchwood, Burtonwood, Culcheth, Grappenhall, Great Sankey, Lymm, Orford, Padgate, Penketh, Stockton Heath, Warrington, Westbrook and Woolston.
School closures will be decided by head teachers and chairmen of governors on an individual basis after a risk assessment.
Leisure centres, Pyramid and Parr Hall and lifelong learning based at the Halliwell Jones Stadium will be open as usual.
