Cycle challenge for charity

A SEVEN-strong team from a Warrington company is taking part in the Severn Trent Cycle Challenge today (Saturday) – to raise money for international charity WaterAid.
The cyclists from professional services company Morgan Professional Services (MPS), based at Birchwood, are cycling 60 miles across the Dark Peak area of Derbyshire.
They have already raised £3,000 through sponsorship and a £1,000 pledge from MPS.
Director George McBride, one of the team members, said; “We have been training over the past three months gradually increasing our distances, training as a team and individually.
“We’re looking to raise as much as we can to support the important work which WaterAid carries out in the developing world.”
WaterAid provides safe water, effective sanitation and hygiene education to the world’s poorest people.
The other MPS team members are operations manager Robin Cross; director David Rycroft; design directors David Hammond and John Howard; consultant Adrian Jones and engineering director Alastair McDougall.
