Man killed after hit and run incident

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a hit and run incident in Orford, Warrington, during the early hours of today (Monday) which resulted in the death of a 58-year-old local man.

The collision took place on Hallfields Road shortly after midnight and is believed to have involved a dark blue car, possibly a Mercedes.

Police are appealing for the driver of the car to come forward and for anyone who witnesses the incident to contact them.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 7 of 10/8/2015.
