Pupils get a taste of Oxbridge life

FOURTEEN Year 10 pupils from Warrington’s Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School have had a taste of Oxbridge education.
The youngsters went to Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University as part of a Priestley College programme aimed at increasing the number of state school students that go on to attend Oxford or Cambridge.
The behaviour of the Boteler pupils was exceptional and all that attended came away having taken part in a real life university economics lecture, a tour of two of Cambridge’s many colleges and a question and answer  session linked to higher education.
Further opportunities of this nature will continue to be offered to Sir Thomas Boteler pupils as they continue their partnership work with Priestley College.
