Woman finds burglar in her home

POLICE have issued an e-fit of a man who terrified a Warrington woman after breaking into her home in the early hours of the morning.
They are seeking help from the public in tracking down the intruder who entered the house in Whitecross Road, Warrington.
The woman awoke at about 7.15am on June 10 and went downstairs to find the man in the hallway.
She confronted him and there was a brief struggle – then the man fled leaving the woman with a minor injury but badly shaken.
He is believed to have taken a small amount of cash.
Police say the intruder was black, about 5ft 10 inches tall and slim. He was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms, a dark zipped jacket and a white beanie hat with dark stripes on it.
The woman says he also had an unusual odour.
Anyone who recognises the man from his description, or who saw anything suspicious in the Whitecross Road area on June 10, is asked to call DC Jackie Gee or DC Steve Deehan on 01244 613831. Alternatively they can call the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
