A WARRINGTON primary school pupil has created a stunning logo for a new pharmacy in the town.
Layton Lee, aged 11, designed the logo for the pharmacy at Harrison Square, Dallam.
Pharmacist Prakash Jha decided to run a competition with pupils from Dallam Primary School to design a logo for the new pharmacy.
Layton’s design was chosen as the winner – just pipping a design created  by his brother, Ryan, aged 9 and another by Ralph Seikals, which won third place.
Layton’s design will displayed on the front of the pharmacy for the whole community to see.
The three youngsters also won prizes for their school and for the school charity.
Mr Jha said: “We are blessed to have been able to open a pharmacy here and we strive to provide a more personal service. As we were new to the area we wanted to get involved with the community so running a competition with the school for our new logo seemed like a great idea.
“We had a great response to the competition after we went to visit the children and it got people talking about the pharmacy. All the entries were brilliant and it was hard to choose a winner, so well done to everyone.
“We will be having a family fun day in the summer where you can get free health check-ups as well so look out for more details and come and join us on the day!”
Cllr Pat Wright the borough council’s lead member for statutory health and adult social care, said: “This artwork is absolutely brilliant and well done to Layton for creating the winning entry.
“This was a great way for Prak and his staff to work with the local community.  I think all the children did really well and we have some talented artists in our area and I am glad  that they enjoyed it.”
Head teacher Louise Atkins said: “This has been a great way to include the children of Dallam Primary in the redevelopment of the Dallam area.”
