WARRINGTON based mental health charity Making Space has received a major boost with Warrington
Wolves’ skipper Adrian Morley agreeing to become a celebrity supporter of the charity.
Adrian has teamed up with actor Dean Sullivan, best known as Jimmy Corkhill in Channel Four’s Brookside, Lord Hoyle of Warrington and Professor Elizabeth Kuipers (Head of Clinical Psychology, The Institute of Psychiatry), who are both patrons of the organisation.
Adrian was given the honour of becoming club captain at the Wolves’ this season.
Last season he recovered from two serious early season injuries to finish 2007 as Great Britain’s outstanding forward in the 3-0 series victory over New Zealand.
After arriving as the Wolves’ major signing for 2007, he fractured his eye socket on Super League debut at Wigan and broke his cheekbone on his comeback in Round 6 against Hull KR.
However after recovering from the subsequent surgery he returned to form for both club and country, captaining Great Britain for the first time in the mid-season Test against France and leading the ‘Northern Union’ side in the Centenary Test against the ‘All Golds’ at the Halliwell Jones stadium.
