COST of restoring the war memorial at Appleton Thorn would be about £2,500, Appleton Parish Council has been told.
But the work would probably keep the memorial in good condition for the next 25 years, said Coun Val Davies.
“We feel it is important that war memorials are maintained in good condition,” she said.
Members of the council are to meet at the site and inspect the memorial before deciding whether to go ahead with the work.
