WARRINGTON Town have continued their squad strengthening for the forthcoming since by capturing the signature of Farsley defender Alex McQuade.
McQuade, aged 22, impressed manager Shaun Reid when the teams met three times last season, including the Doodson Sports Cup final, which Warrington won on penalties following a goalless 90 minutes.
Manchester born McQuade started his career at Bolton Wanderers, having progressed through the academy system and signed his first professional contract on a one-year deal.
He later joined Shrewsbury Town and also played at Hyde before joining Farsley in February this year.
Chairman Toby Macormac said: “All three times we saw him play against us he was really consistent and as well as full-back he is just as comfortable at centre half.”
Manager Reid added: “I am delighted Alex has committed himself to Warrington Town and he will be an assett to the squad. He has bags of experience but is still only 22.”
