Tumble drier blamed for blaze

A FAULTY tumble drier was blamed for a fire which broke out in a flat above a public house near Warrington.
The blaze was above the Red Lion pub in Runcorn Road, Moore and two fire engines from Warrington were sent to the scene.
A bedroom was ablaze and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the outbreak, using a  hose reel jet.
A ventilation unit was use to clear dense smoke from the property.
No-one was trapped and no injuries were reported.
Crews were at the scene for about an hour.
