POLICE at Warrington are seeking help in tracking down a girl-gang who attacked a 21-year-old woman in a town centre bar.
The gang of seven young women knocked their victim to the floor and stamped on her face and body – leaving her with a heel-shaped bruise on her head.
She required hospital treatment after the attack in the 53 Degrees North bar in Bridge Street.
The attack took place between 1am and 2.30am in the women’s toilet at the bar.
There was an argument which led to the gang of seven attacking the 21-year-old.
She required treatment for bruising and whiplash injuries after being stamped on as she lay helpless on the floor.
Police say the victim could give an identification of only one of her attackers – a slim, tanned blonde with her hair done in a quiff at the front. She wore a purple dress with thick straps.
PC Helena Banusic, the investigating officer, would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the attack in the toilet or who saw a group of seven girls in the bar.
The victim herself was wearing white shorts and a black top.
Anyone who can help should call PC Banusic on 0845 458 0000.

It is no wonder people in this town have a bad reputation. This sound simply horrible. Who do these people think they are? If they find them, lock them up and throw away the key.
Stamping on someone’s face or head while on the floor should be classed as attempted murder.
..but if they didn’t mean to kill them it can’t be – unfortunately!
I would have thought a heel stamped into the face could be more damaging than many knife or bullit wounds. Also given the increasing number of deaths that occur each year from this evil trend of stamping on heads then pehaps it’s time to change the law.
