Autumn Ball

The Breast Cancer Awareness Autumn Ball is being held at The Park Royal Hotel, Stretton on Saturday September 13. A pink champagne reception will be followed by a three course dinner, entertainment and dancing.

President’s visit

IRISH President Mary McAleese is to visit the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Young People’s Peace Centre at Warrington on Thursday (June 5) as part of a state visit in connection with Liverpool’s European City of Culture celebrations.

Smoking Shelter

A SMOKING shelter at the Harrow Inn, Church Lane, Culcheth has won planning approval from Warrington Borough Council.

Meditation course

Canal walk
RANGERS from Woolston Park are organising a walk along the New Cut Canal on Tuesday, June 3, starting at 7pm. The walk will take about one and-a-half hours and suitable footwear should be worn.

Lorry Park

PLANNING bosses have thrown out proposals for a lorry park for 30 vehicles on
land at Daten Avenue, on the Trident Business Park, Risley.

Police meeting

POLICE are holding a Community Action Meeting at Great Sankey Library today (Saturday) when the focus will be on nuisance youths. The meeting starts at 11am.

Access ramp

PLANS for a new access ramp and fire door at Beamont Junior School, O’Leary Street, Warrington have been given the green light.

Hospital lottery

THE winning numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 4, 9, 11 and 14. The jackpot prize went unclaimed and will be rolled-over to next week. The £25 consolation prize went to a member of hospital staff.
