Heroes and villains will be the theme for this year’s Croft Carnival as villagers are urged to enter into the spirit of the occasion by taking part in the popular scarecrow competition.

Pictured front row from left, are princess attendants Hannah Mulvey and Molly Fletcher, Princess Amy Brear, Rosebud Rebecca Martin, rosebud attendants Charlotte Hewertson and Eleanor Brear.
Those taking part in the float parade should meet at the Plough Inn at 11.30am with the crowning taking place on the playing fields at around 2pm.
Programmes for the event costing £1 will soon be available and provide admission to the field.

  1. I will be attending the Croft Carnival on Saturday. In order to find the site of the Carnival, could you please send me the post code to feed into my Sat-Nav.

    Yours Sincerely,

    Alan Fairhurst.

  2. Hi Alan – as the carnival takes place on the village green and a procession through the streets it would be hard to know which post code to use.

Suggesut you put the Horse Shoe Inn, Croft in google, get the post code and you will not be too far away from the action. But the roads will be closing at 11.30am so get there early.
