MARKET traders from throughout Europe are returning to Warrington to stage another traditional continental market.
Professional traders from France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Holland and Poland will set up stalls decorated to represent their country and will wear traditional costumes for the outdoor event.
The popular themed market will be held in Bridge Street, Sankey Street and Horsemarket Street from Thursday May 29 to Sunday June 1.
Products on offer include Brittany biscuits, olives, Italian nougat, pungent cheeses, and continental meats. For those with a sweet tooth, there will also be freshly cooked crepes.
Other goods on sale will include continental handbags and leather goods. French soaps and lavender and children’s toys.
Many of the products on sale will come from the stallholders own land and are produced by small family businesses using traditional methods.
Town centre manager, Nick White, said: “Speciality markets add to the colour and vibrancy of the town as well as increasing the already fantastic retail offer.”
