A ROW over football is believed to have led to garden furniture being set on fire at Warrington.
The blaze was in the garden of a house in Grasmere Avenue, Orford, shortly after the end of the
Manchester United v Chelsea Champions League final in Moscow.
The furniture was set alight in the garden – and police are investigating following a claim that the fire was started deliberately following a dispute over the match.
In a separate incident, a Citroen car was torched in Orange Grove, Blackbrook.
A Fire Service spokesman said the vehicle was almost completely burned out and afterward a half-brick was found on the driver’s seat, indicating it had been broken into.
Police are investigating
