Prince William coming to town

PRINCE William will be visiting Warrington in June – or at least a narrow boat of the same name will!
Lymm Festival and Lymm Cruising Club will be supporting an event that will see The Prince William decked in flowers and carrying gifts from Lymm to the next port of call, Walton, as part of Cheshire’s Floating Garden Festival.
Leader of Warrington Borough Council Ian Marks will join Honor Giles, Director of Lymm Festival and Dave Ross, Commodore of Lymm Cruising Club, in greeting the boat at 1pm on June 7.
The festival is being run in conjunction with Cheshire Year of the Garden and will see three other boats from Bollington/Macclesfield, Audlem/Nantwich and Ellesmere Port/Chester launched between June 7 and 15.
They will all come together at Middlewich for the Folk and Boat Festival and will be moored from June 12.
For more information about the event, contact Eleanor Muirhead from Lymm Cruising Club on 01925 752078 or e-mail [email protected]
