Police teddy bears aid charity

A WARRINGTON-based charity has joined forces with the police to launch a range of cuddly teddy bears to raise money.
The Relationships Centre and Cheshire Police see the bears as an ideal way to help raise funds. The bears are called RALPHIE – Relationship Centre and Local Police – and are being sold for £5 each.
PC Debbie Patterson said: “The Relationships Centre provide an important service to the community as well as providing vital training to Police Probationers on the issues of Domestic Violence and Young Runaways. We wanted to help them in return and the teddy bears are an ideal way to help raise funds, so that The Relationships Centre can continue to do what it does best.”
It costs the centre £5 to handle a call from a young runaway or person affected by domestic violence.
All of the bears have been purchased through funding secured from Cheshire police.
Anyone interested in buying a bear can do so at the centre or by calling 01925 246 910.
