Safe return for residents

ALL residents have now been allowed to return to their homes following a blaze that led to 40 properties being evacuated in Warrington.
Fire crews completed the “cooling down” of the acetylene cylinders over night and have now allowed all families back into their homes on Molyneux Avenue and Lilford Avenue in Bewsey.
The 20-metre exclusion zone, which police maintained over night, has been lifted and a full investigation into the incident is now taking place.
Both cylinders have been handed over to the British Oxygen Company by fire chiefs.
At the height of the operation, 40 houses were evacuated and their occupants provided with emergency accommodation at Bewsey Lodge Primary School, which was closed for the day. A 200-metre exclusion was imposed because of the risk of an explosion.
