Speeding still a problem

SPEEDING on Fairfield Road, Stockton Heath, is still a problem according to Police Community Support Officer Peter Crellin.
He told Stockton Heath Parish Council that the road was busy and he regularly caught about 15 to 20 vehicles speeding during a session, often doing up to 50 mph.
In Walton Road, he said, the speed cameras are set off at 34 mph but that he cannot take any action unless the speed recorded is 36mph.
“We are still not getting the numbers speeding on Walton Road that warrant leaving Fairfield Road.”
He said he was also checking speeding on Ackers Road, based in the fire station car park.
