PARTS of Birchwood Park Avenue will be temporarily closed from Friday April 25 to allow maintenance of an existing footbridge.
Warrington Borough Council has approved the temporary prohibition of driving on Birchwood Park Avenue (north and southbound) from its junction with Birchwood Way to its respective junctions with Glover Road/Garrett Field roundabout.
It is expected the closure will operate on consecutive weekends for about six weeks.
Work will be carried out in phases with the majority of the construction works being undertaken Friday to Monday, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Timescales are a guide only, as the work is weather dependent. Access will be controlled by the contractor.
Phase One Birchwood Park Avenue (northbound) is expected to run from April 25 to April 28, May 2 to May 5 and May 9 to May 12.
Phase Two Birchwood Park Avenue (southbound) is expected to run from May 16 to May 19, May 23 to May 26, and May 30 to June 2.
The alternative route for north and southbound traffic on Birchwood Park Avenue will be via Birchwood Way, Daten Avenue, Birchwood Park Avenue and vice versa.
