My daughter in law brought it home to put all the agony and what should have been unimaginable human degradation up on our big High Definition screen. Simple story about pre-Columbian indigenous people living in jungles, beautifully done if you thought his Passion was beautiful. Colorful to say the least.

Mel was too modest to say it but I contend the reason he made this picture was religious. Columbus brought the natives a gentler religion.
