TASTY hog roasts, carols, magical lantern parades, enchanting grottos and even a few camels- it’s all going on in Warrington this Christmas.
The borough council, its partners and local businesses are providing a seasonal programme of events and activities for everyone to enjoy.
Thurs November 20 – December 23: Christmas Market Golden Square. Visit the traditional market to get the ultimate Christmas fix.
From Sat November 22 – Christmas Grotto, Warrington Market, (organised by Warrington Disability Partnership).
Warrington Lions’ Christmas sledge, Market Gate at 11am.
Sat November 22 – December 24: Santa’s Grotto Golden Square.
LiveWire Christmas Fayre, 11am-4pm Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub – free admission.
Sat November 29 – Christmas market Warrington Market.
Sat December 6 – Winter Craft Fair
Sat December 6 and Sun December 7 – Lantern Making Open Workshops
Thursday December 11 Lantern Parade, 6.30pm, Queens Gardens.
From Fri December 12 – Walton Hall and Gardens
It’s all happening this Christmas at Walton Hall – Father Christmas will be back again to take up his winter residence and switch the lights. Winter Wonderland will recreate the magic of Christmas past and a festive
carvery.
Sat December 13 – Babies and children’s pre-loved market at Warrington Market.
Sun December 14 – Christmas Fun Day at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub.
Sun December 14 – Christmas Truce Carol Service.Wrap up warm for a moving tribute to our First World War heroes at 3pm, Halliwell Jones Stadium. The Lancashire Artillery will lead carol singing, with Warrington Male
Voice Choir and others taking part.
Sat December 20 – Warrington Market Carol Service with Trinity Girls Brass Band
