AT THE 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, a two minute silence is annually observed in honour of all the service men and women, both past and present, who have served their country.
This year a remembrance service will take place under the canopy of the Old Market Square at 11am on Tuesday 11 November.
The firing of maroon rockets off the town hall roof will mark the start and finish of the two-minute silence.
The Reverend Stephen Kingsnorth will be conducting the service and the Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Ted Finnegan, will lead the public tribute for the Royal British Legion’s two-minute silence.
Everyone is welcome to attend and can gather from around 10.30am.
