Man freed from wrecked car

A MAN was was extricated from his damaged car after it ended up on the grass verge after a crash at Warrington.
The collision occured in Hood Lane North, Great Sankey and two fire engines from Warrington Fire station attended the incident.
After releasing the injured man he was handed over to paramedics and taken to hospital.
Earlier, fire crews from Warrington were called to Lovely Lane, at his junction with Liverpool Road, following a road crash.
A man was released from a damaged car and taken to Warrington Hospital.
No details of the extent of injuries sustained in either incident are available.
