CHESHIRE Food Festival takes place this weekend at the beautifully charming Arley Hall & Gardens with a recipe of food, drink and live music.
The recipe for the weekend consists of over 100 top local producers, a big serving of hot food and an array of real ale and bars. Add a dash of craft and gift stalls, lots of activities and rides for the kids and free top chef demos. Stir in a cake competition, the popular Men V’s Food challenge, add lashings of excellent live music and mix it all together to create a fantastic foodie family day out!
The main chef demo area hosts top local talent from the like of expert Chocolatier, Toby Beevers, Martin Evans – chef at Ryan Giggs Manchester restaurant (Georges) and new star Shauna Muamba.
Shauna (pictured right) and her husband Fabrice have created a range of five sauces to introduce everyone to the versatility of Caribbean cuisine which will be available at the festival, ‘It is fantastic that people will be able to experience the true flavours of the Caribbean. Also importantly a small donation from the sale of every jar will go to the Hearts and Goals charity which will help increase accessibility of defibrillators, which will save lives”. Shauna is really looking forward to cooking up authentic Caribbean recipes and sharing some of her family’s favourite recipes with visitors to the food festival this weekend.
Once you’ve taken in a chef demo or two why not grab a drink or some tasty hot food and sit down to listen to some great live music. Top singer songwriter James Gillespie will be performing on Sunday ‘I’ve been doing festivals all around the country but I love the food festivals and Cheshire is a great crowd’, also playing this weekend amongst others are top local bands ‘Tumbling Dice’ and ‘The Task’.
So if food or music – or both are your sort of thing, head down to the Cheshire Food Festival this weekend. The perfect recipe for a fun, foodie day out for the whole family.
