Wolves squad to face Saints

WARRINGTON Wolves boss Tony Smith has named his first 19-man squad of the new season ahead of Thursday night’s encounter with local rivals St Helens, kick off 8pm, with full-back Matty Russell and forwards Simon Grix, Paul Wood and Ben Harrison all missing.
Russell (pictured right) suffered an ankle injury in pre-season training while Harrison and Wood are still recuperating after surgery during the close season. Last season’s “Mr dependable” Simon Grix is also missing.
New forwards Roy Asotasi and Anthony England are set to make their full debuts.
Thursday night will see the club celebrate 10 years at the stadium having moved from Wilderspool a decade ago in 2004.
