Charity’s unusual gift idea

0

AN environmental charity is offering an unusual festive gift for friends or family that doesn’t cost the earth – and might help save it!
The charity Community Forest Trust is running a “Dedicate a Tree” programme, which enables people to donate a tree in their local community forest in the name of their loved one.
Dedicate a Tree in a local woodland in a Warrington woodland and the recipient will receive a certificate featuring a personalised message, a map so they can visit their woodland and a seed-pack to plant their very own trees too.
The scheme contributes to the growing network of woodlands in the region – and also provides a vital habitat for wildlife.
Dedicating a tree costs £15, with the proceeds helping to support Community Forest Trust work to create a greener, healthier North West.
