CYCLE owners at Warrington are being invited to take their machines for free security marking and safety checks on Saturday.
The event, organised by Cheshire Police, Bike Register and Cheshire Cycles, will take place in Victoria Square, Stockton Heath, outside the Mulberry Tree Hotel from 10am to 3pm.
About 150 bikes are stolen every month in Cheshire and the tagging and registration of cycles is seen as key to reducing the number stolen.
The safety checks will ensure machines are well maintained and road worthy.
