Voices and brass in harmony for Christmas

WARRINGTON Male Voice Choir have teamed up with “one of the finest brass bands in the country” for the annual Christmas shows at Warrington Parr Hall.
Taking place on Friday 20 December and Saturday 21 December ‘Christmas Voices Christmas Brass’, brings together Warrington Male
Voice Choir and one of the country’s finest brass bands – Leyland Band, not to mention audience participation in the singing of some traditional Christmas carols.
Hosted by Bob Williams, the concerts are always a fantastic warm up for the festive season and a great night out for people of all ages, families and friends. As in previous years, the audience are being encouraged to ‘wear something Christmassy’ – in fact, this year, organisers hope people will go even further, get really in the mood and wear festive fancy dress.
A collection will also be made on the night for the choir’s 2013 charity, the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace.
With tickets priced at just £10 the evenings, which get underway at 7.30pm, offer great value for money.
Tickets can be bought by ringing 01925 442345, visiting www.pyramidparrhall.com or www.ticketmaster.com or in person from the Pyramid/Parr Hall ticket office.
Earlier this year saw the team at Pyramid & Parr Hall take responsibility for selling tickets for the Choir’s concerts at the Parr Hall and it’s a change that is already delivering results with sales up on last year.
Commenting, Choir Secretary, Dave Knight said “These concerts are always very enjoyable for audience and performers alike and I’m sure this year will be no exception, especially with them taking place on the last weekend before Christmas. Adding to the sense of occasion, we hope everyone will wear something Christmassy; even full fancy dress!”
