A MAN suffering from a degenerative condition likely to him being confined to a wheelchair wants to extend his house to improve access problems.
But planners at Warrington are recommending the application be refused because the extension would result in a 200 per cent increase in the size of the original house, which is in the Green Belt.
They say the extension would destroy the traditional and rural character of the original dwelling – a two storey cottage in Smith Lane, Croft.
There have been no objections to the scheme.

Pity you haven’t reported how he was improving access. Refusing to let someone triple the size of their house on green belt seems reasonable.
