Town centre to come alive

WARRINGTON town centre will come alive with a performance from more than 500 talented dancers on Saturday October 27 and Sunday November 17 as Rugby League World Cup fever hits the town.
Dancers aged between 3 – 84 from schools, colleges, universities and community groups will take part in Window On Warrington, an exciting dance performance that celebrates the cultures of Warrington and Samoa, the team we’re hosting for the Rugby League World Cup.
It will be performed in the town centre on the rugby match days; Sunday 27 October, when Samoa play New Zealand, and before the quarter final match on Sunday 17 November.
The performance is site specific which means it has been specially created for where it is performed. It is 40 minutes long and as it is an outdoor show no seats are available or can be brought along.
The show starts at Market Gate near to the Guardians and will stay in this area for approximately 25 minutes before moving along Horsemarket Street towards the stadium. The audience are invited to move with the performance.
Window On Warrington is a joint partnership between Culture Warrington and Warrington Wolves Foundation with thanks for financial support from Arts Council England, The Town Centre Partnership Innovation Fund, and Warrington Borough Council.
Show times:
Sunday 27 October – 4pm
Sunday 17 November – 1pm
