Barbara Dickson live at Parr Hall

MULTI-MILLION selling recording-artist Barbara Dickson will be bringing her show to Parr Hall on Sunday November 3.
Barbara Dickson OBE has been in the music business for over four decades, and has an equally impressive two-time Olivier Award-winning acting career. She has firmly established herself as one of the most enduring and popular entertainers in Britain today.
Barbara was born in Scotland in 1947 but she has many links to the North West. Her Scottish dad Alastair moved to Liverpool in his early 20s to join the city’s police force, and that’s where he met her mum, Ruth. The couple settled down and brought their children up in Scotland, however Liverpool has continued to play a pivotal role in Barbara’s life. She got her big break in Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers where she played the first Mrs Johnstone at Liverpool’s Playhouse. She met the Scouse playwright in a bar in Edinburgh and as they say the rest is history.
Barbara will perform her classic hits on the night, as well as other material in her own inimitable style. Expect to hear Caravans, Another Suitcase in Another Hall, Answer Me, and her chart-topping duet with Elaine Paige, I Know Him So Well delivered to the audience in her own incomparable fashion.
Barbara Dickson, Parr Hall, Sunday November 3 (7.30pm). Tickets £25. Call 01925 442345
