ST ROCCO’S will be highlighting the growing need for hospice care during Hospice Care Week.
Each year, hospices up and down the country hold a week of celebration and action which helps to change people’s perception of hospice care.
St Rocco’s Hospice care aims to improve the lives of people who have a life-limiting or terminal illness, helping them to live well for the rest of their lives.
It costs £7,900 per day to fund the care, and St Rocco’s have more than 650 volunteers.
Fundraising manager Claire Houghton said: “Fundraising is vitally important to hospices, especially given the rising demand for hospice care and the current economic climate. St Rocco’s needs the continuing support of the communities we serve now more than ever!”
