As part of the annual heritage events across the country, doors will be open from 10am to 4pm, with an exhibition and interpretation material and a children’s quiz, describing the history and features of the church.
Tea and coffee will be available. Access will be restricted during the Saturday 12:10 Mass – however, it will be followed by an organ recital at 1pm by resident director of music, Michael Wynne.
Five other locations are also taking part; Cairo Street Unitarian Chapel (Warrington), St John the Evangelist Church (Walton), All Saints Church (Daresbury), Runcorn Castle and Norton Priory.
