Motor bikes damaged in garage fire

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to deal with a serious fire involving three motor cycles in a garage at Warrington.
The blaze was in Menlow Close, Grappenhall and was in a brick-built garage, approximately five metres square.
Fire crews from Warrington and Stockton Heath tackled the outbreak wearing breathing apparatus and using a hose reel jet.
Three motor cycles inside the garage were found to be alight – and the blaze was caused by an electrical fault on one of the machines.
Crews inspected the roof void to confirm the fire had not spread and use a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots. They also isolated the electricity supply to the building.
There was no damage to the adjoining house.
