Bible Exhibiton coming to Warrington

THE UK’s largest touring exhibition of ancient and modern Bibles is coming to Warrington on August 24.
The exhibition, which has been touring the country for more than 50 years, is run by the Christadelphians and is being held at The Pyramid.
Andrew Hale, who is organising the Warrington event, said: “The Bible is the centre of the Christian faith and yet many people have never read it, or not looked at it for many years. Sometimes people are put off the by the old language, others doubt its authenticity whilst others just don’t see the point of it. The Bible Exhibition aims to answer all those questions and show that the Bible is just as relevant in 2013 as it was in the days that it was written.”
Exhibits include; a range of ancient and modern Bibles and a 13th century Latin manuscript, a modern facsimile of the first printed Bible and a 16th century Jewish scroll; replicas of archaeological exhibits from around the world. There are also video presentations and computer quizzes. Visitors are able to use an audio guide as they go round the exhibition.
Andrew added: “The Bible is arguably the world’s bestselling book, but probably the least read. We hope to encourage people to take another look at it. It may surprise them.”
The Bible Exhibition will be open: Saturday 24th (10am-2pm), Monday 26th to Friday 30th (9am-5pm); Saturday 31st (10am-12pm)
