Police seize imitation firearms

POLICE seized a number of imitation firearms and chemicals when they raided a house at Warrington.
A 61-year-old man was arrested under the powers of the Violent Crime Reduction Act following the raid on a house at Penketh.
The man was subsequently released on bail although police enquiries are continuing.
A police spokeswoman said continues: “We rely on members of the public on giving us information on criminality in their area, and in this instance the local community can be reassured that while there was no specific threat posed to them, police have removed these items and therefore the risks that they may be used illicitly has been removed.
