TEMPORARY traffic bans and other restrictions are to be imposed on the A574 Cromwell Avenue, Warrington, while road works are carried out.
The restrictions will come into force on Sunday and are expected to last about four weeks.
They are necessary allow works to be undertaken to construct a new egress onto Cromwell Avenue, and amend the existing access to the Westbrook Centre, next to the petrol filling station.
The temporary prohibition of driving will affect Cromwell Avenue from
its junction with Lady Lane/Westbrook Crescent to the roundabout with Westbrook Way.
There will also be a prohibition of driving on Westbrook Crescent from its junction with Cromwell Avenue to the roundabout at the Westbrook Centre/Garwood Close.
A temporary footway closure will take place in Cromwell Avenue from its junction with Westbrook Crescent to its junction with Westbrook Way and there will be a temporary ban on right and left turns on Westbrook Crescent to the Westbrook shopping complex.
The restrictions will be in place as and when signs are in place on site. The works are to be undertaken in phases, with the main road closures programmed to be undertaken on consecutive Sundays between the hours of 5.00pm and 6.00am only.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative routes will be signed on site for the duration of the works.
