STOCKTON Heath’s biggest day of the year – the annual Walking Day – takes place on Saturday July 13.
Churches from Stockton Heath, Walton and the Cobbs Estate at Appleton will be taking part in the procession through the village.
This year’s lead church will be Stockton Heath Christian Fellowship who will also conduct the pre-walk service in Alexandra Park at 2pm.
The procession will go through Parkgate Road, Grappenhall Road, London Road, Ellesmere Road, Francis Road and back to the village centre via Walton Road.
Roads will be closed along the route of the walk from 1.45pm so drivers are advised to avoid the area until after 3pm
