Cooking up some fun

A SERIES of free, fun cooking events for children gets under way at a Warrington shopping centre today (Saturday).
Golden Square’s “Cooking up some Fun” campaign will take place between 11am and 4pm each Saturday during June and are free of charge.
This Saturday, children will be able to design their own apron and walk away wearing it
On Saturday June 15, children will have the chance to watch CBeebies presenter Katy Ashworth in sing-along shows throughout the day.
Designing a cupcake magnet is on the 22nd and the month rounds off on the 29th with an edible treat where children can decorate their own cupcake prepared by an expert baker.
Golden Square general manager Ian Cox said: “We can’t wait to start ‘Cooking Up Some Fun’ this month. We’re thrilled that Katy has agreed to come and spend the day with us.
“I’m sure throughout the course of the event we’ll see some tasty treats. Fingers crossed I’ll get to try some!”
