SAD Café, one of the top UK live bands of the 70s and 80s, are coming to Warrington’s Parr Hall on Friday October 4 as part of a UK tour.
The group will be led by long-time members Ian Wilson, Dave Irving, Ashley Mulford, and Des Tong, and will be joined by Steve Whalley on guitar and vocals, and Sue Quin and Simon Waggott on keyboards and vocals.
Originally based in Manchester, Sad Café had major hits with
Everyday Hurts, My Oh My, Strange Little Girl, Black Rose, and I’m in Love Again, along with big US hits La-Di-Da, and Run Home Girl.
The band reunited to work on the album Paul Young – Chronicles, which marked the death of their original lead singer, by completing recordings that he had been working on at the time he was taken ill.
