COUNCIL staff at Warrington donned their best Samoan colours to get up close and personal with the Rugby World Cup Trophy.
Staff were joined by council leader Terry O’Neill and the Mayor, Cllr Peter Carey.
Many seized the unique opportunity to have their picture taken with the coveted trophy.
Youngsters from the Warrington Wolves mini league were also there to show off their rugby skills on the Town Hall lawn in their new kits, which includes design features from the Samoan kit.
Cllr O’Neill said: “What a great moment this is and as the host town for the Samoan team we are honoured to show our support for them.
“From everyone here in Warrington, we also want to wish the Samoan team the best of luck in their friendly against the U.S.A in Hawaii at the weekend!”
