A PHOTOGRAPHY exhibition celebrating the every day lives of market traders as captured by a talented local artist has launched at Warrington Market.
Originally from Slovakia, Radka Dolinska is an award winning freelance photographer based in Warrington. Radka tells interesting stories by using unusual and innovative images that stand out from the crowd.
Part of the love your local market campaign, the aim of the project is to portray the everyday life of stall holders and their surroundings.
Radka said: “The shops in the market are a source of inspiration to our modern forms of distribution. Observing them can teach us notions of closeness, service, sociability, life, motivation, fair trade and so on.”
Cllr Mike Hannon, deputy leader of the council, said:”The images depict family and history, highlighting how skills transfer to the next generation and the significance this has on society. Whether you are interested in Warrington’s history or not, this is something well worth seeing.”
The exhibition is currently on display in the food hall of the market.
