WARRINGTON Wolves’ Foundation Patron Kim Storey is helping fly the flag for a young soldier serving on the front line in Afghanistan.
Kim, who is store manager at the Warrington Wickes store, organised for a Wolves’ flag to be signed by members of the first team squad, to be sent out to 21-year-old Alex Ross who used to work as a part-time assistant at the store.
The flag was kindly donated by the Wolves and has been sent out to Alex who is serving with the Duke of Lancaster 2nd Regiment and is currently on a six month tour of duty.
Kim, who is pictured with Claire Gamble from the Wolves, said: “Alex is a huge Wolves’ fan and misses his rugby so we decided to send him out a flag, signed by the players, so he can support the club from a far.
“I would like to thank the club for supplying the flag and the players for signing it and showing their support to our troops.”
