Visitors with £1.5 million to give away

THE Morgan Foundation, which helps charities and other good causes who “make a difference” has £1.5 million to give away this year – and is coming to Warrington.
They are offering voluntary and community groups in the borough the opportunity to meet with them at 1:1 sessions.
Over the last 10 years, the foundation has helped hundreds of organisations, committing more than £10 million.
Their aim is to provide funding for small to medium–sized organisations who are addressing specific needs locally.
They are particularly keen to support those who have already begun to make an impact, but need a helping hand to expand their work and increase their effectiveness.
The Morgan Foundation specialises in supporting organisations helping children and families as well as the elderly, disabled and socially isolated. They will consider any work which has a positive effect on their welfare and quality of life, or which expands the opportunities and life choices for young people in this region.
Although the majority of their grants go to registered charities, they will also consider applications from other types of organisations which are pursuing charitable causes and where aims and objectives are “not for profit.”
Preference is given to “hands on” organisations with a high volunteer input.
Groups considering applying for a grant should first visit
www.morganfoundation.co.uk/funding to check they are eligible and then complete an online proposal.
Completed outline proposal and requests for a 1:1 session sould be sent to [email protected]
Session dates are scheduled for the afternoon of Tuesday May 21.
