Marillion frontman plays Parr Hall

THE former frontman of Marillion presents his full band show at Parr Hall on Thursday May 23.
Fish has a career spanning more than 20 years and has gained a notable reputation for his charismatic stage performances and uncompromising lyrics.
The Scottish singer, real name Derek Dick, whose influences include David Bowie, Pink Floyd and Genesis, promises a night full of hits from his time in the rock band Marillion as well as his solo career including Lavender and Kayleigh.
Fish has won a number of awards for his programme on radio station Plant Rock. Fish on Friday won the Silver award in the Music Broadcaster of the Year category at the UK Sony Radio Academy Awards 2008. Also in 2008, at the New York Festivals Radio Broadcasting Awards, Fish and Gary Moore jointly received the Gold World Medal in the Regularly Scheduled Music Program category for their respective shows on Planet Rock.
He’s also tried his hand at acting and in 1998 appeared in an episode of TV show The Bill. Fish also appeared in movie The Jacket alongside Adrien Broody and Keira Knightly.
The performance takes place at 7.30pm at Parr Hall.
