A chance to get creative

AMATEUR photographers and artists are being urged to get involved in this year’s Stockton Heath Festival.
The festival, which runs from June 20-23, will feature an art exhibition and a photography competition in addition to a whole host of other events designed to bring out people’s creativity.
Local artists are invited to submit works of mixed media to the art exhibition where prizes will be on offer to the best works, as judged by a panel of experts and the public.
There will also be an opportunity to buy an original piece of art.
Entry details are available from [email protected] or call 0798 341 2630. The exhibition will be at Grappenhall Independent Methodist Church.
The photography competition will have a “pets” theme, giving pet owners to submit pictures of their fur and feather friends.
Again there will be prizes for the best entries as chosen by judges and public vote. The photographs will be displayed in the festival arts tent.

The festival is a true community event and everyone is invited to join in.
There will be a treasure hunt and other competitions on the Festival Field, a chance to write a poem or enter the dog show.
Even those who feel they cannot contribute directly can always get involved by voting for their favourites in each category.
