WARRINGTON Collegiate hosted a Motor Trade Show to show off the facilities and technology it has on offer.
Visitors enjoyed a tour of the state of the art facilities which include a tyre centre, vehical inspection area, numerous ramps and a diagnostics area.
Related courses at the college include Common Rail Diesel Operation and Diagnosis, Petrol Injection System Operation and Diagnosis and Air Conditioning.
Pete Jones, Curriculum Manager for Motor Vehicle courses, said: “As one of the largest training providers of post-16 education in Warrington it is only natural that we would want to have to very best training work shop for our staff and students. Some of the technology we have here can be considered as three years ahead of its time.
“I wanted to let the industry know that we offer a 21st century learning environment for our students and that we want to work with them to ensure that our students leave here with both excellent qualifications and the experience to match.”
Several visiting companies signed up for apprentices, as well as offering valuable work placements for students.
Mel Warburton, Owner of Frank Warburton and sons Garage, Lymm said: “I’m really impressed with the development of the Motor Vehicle facilities at Warrington Collegiate over the last ten years. They are really embracing the new technology and using it in the teaching at college. I’ve got one apprentice here and will have another one next year. After seeing the exhibitions tonight I’m definitely going to be enrolling on an evening course here.”
