WOOLSTON Neighbourhood Hub will host Swimathon for the 23rd consecutive year this Sunday, April 28.
The national challenge, which has been running for 27 years, raises funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care, and more than 40 swimmers in Warrington have registered to take part.
Greg Snape, Duty Officer at Woolston Neighbourhood Hub, said: “It’s going to be fantastic to see people in our community taking on the challenge. We are proud to be hosting Swimathon again, as well as continuing our support to Marie Curie and hope to add to the £100,000 we have raised over previous years.”
The money raised on the day will help Marie Curie nurses to provide free hands-on care for over 31,000 people with terminal illnesses and vital emotional support to their loved ones, at home or in one of the charity’s nine hospices.
