THE official opening of the Marjorie Griffiths Learning Centre will coincide with Adult Learners’ Week next month.
Running from May 18 to 24, Adult Learners’ Week is a national celebration of the benefits of lifelong learning and provides opportunities to explore the many types of learning available to adults from all walks of life.
Events and free taster activities will take place throughout the week at community centres, libraries, colleges, children’s centres, schools and other venues and will include a wide variety of learning opportunities and information/advice sessions.
Events will commence with the Annual Adult Learners’ Week Awards Ceremony on Saturday, May 18, at the Fir Grove Hotel.
The new learning centre, at Warrington Disability Partnership Centre for Independent Living, Beaufort Street, will open on Thursday, May 23.
